Instrument Usage

This instrument is suitable for the determination of the macronaire value of loose and disordered cotton fibers.

The micronaire is defined as a measure of the permeability of a given amount of cotton fiber under specified conditions and is expressed in terms of micronaire. The micronaire scale is based on a set of “International Calibrated Cotton Standards” whose micronaire values have been determined by international agreement.
